Updated Tie-Breaking Rules for JEE Main 2025
For JEE Main 2025, the NTA has revised the tie-breaking criteria, no longer considering candidates’ ages or application numbers. The new sequence for resolving ties is as follows:
- Higher NTA score in Mathematics
- Higher NTA score in Physics
- Higher NTA score in Chemistry
- Lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers across all subjects
- Lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Mathematics
- Lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Physics
- Lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Chemistry
- If a tie persists, candidates will receive the same rank
